JavaScript Engines
Section titled “JavaScript Engines”Our Devices doesn’t understand JavaScript directly and to run our JS Code, it needs to be converted into the Machine Code first, only then it can be executed on our hardware. To achieve this we have JavaScript Engines.
JavaScript Engines takes the JS Code, that a programmer writes and then converts that into the Machine Code, which is ultimately executed. Now there are many different Engines but most popular ones includes V8 and SpiderMonkey.
V8 Engine is used by Google Chrome and Node.JS Project to run the JavaScript code on the web browser and server respectively. SpiderMonkey is mostly used by Firefox browser. Hermes is another JavaScript engine used to run React Native on the mobile devices.
JavaScript is a great first language to learn as a beginner and all the advanced concepts listed above will be covered in the later sections.
